Esta atracción turística es una de las más famosas de la isla, y se da cada año entre enero y marzo, en el que las aguas del Caribe se llenan de las aletas de estos cetáceos que prácticamente puedes tocar con tus manos.

El tour no solo incluye el avistamiento de uno de los mamíferos más grandes del mundo, sino que además podrás visitar Cayo Levantado, más conocido como isla Bacardí, un lugar en el que el agua cristalina se mezcla con la arena dorada en una estampa que se completa con una vegetación selvática típica de estas latitudes.

La experiencia de navegar por el Caribe hasta la isla es otro de los motivos por los que no puedes perderte esta excursión de ensueño. La franja de mar de 20 kilómetros que une Bayahibe con Saona recorre lo largo del Parque Nacional de Cotubanamá, al que también pertenece la isla.

Flora y fauna a tu alcance en 110 km2

En isla Saona encontrarás algunas de las especies vegetales endémicas de la República Dominicana. En total, son 4 ecosistemas los que podemos apreciar dentro de la isla: matorrales, bosques semi-húmedos, bosques salados y, como no, manglares.

Y es que la playa está a escasos metros de la selva, en la que te podrás adentrar para sentirte alejado del resto del planeta y apreciar la verdadera sensación de bienestar.

Además, en la costa merece la pena intentar divisar a animales como la iguana rinoceronte o el murciélago pescador.
